"Yamabuki Gold" Finely Aged Vintage Sake undergoes meticulous crafting through prolonged aging periods, leveraging a base of 12-year-old sake and blending it with other aged sakes, some up to 20 years old, within the unique cold temperature conditions of Akita. This process results in a sake brimming with umami, characterized by rich burnt toffee flavors and soft undertones. Notably, unlike many other koshu varieties, this sake is aged at low temperatures, imparting a less harsh and burnt taste.

This aged sake blend, featuring a combination of 18-year-old sake with a 10-year base, offers a clean mouthfeel. Initially, the soft acidity gently spreads across the palate, followed by a complex smoky umami sensation that envelops the entire mouth. The sake exhibits a long-lasting finish, with flavors reminiscent of Shaoxing wine, shimeji mushrooms, tsukudani, rocky shore essence, red miso, and horse chestnut honey, along with hints of pickled cucumber. It pairs excellently with dishes such as Tsukudani meat, shrimp, and cheese. The sake has received Gold Awards at prestigious events like the International Wine Challenge in multiple years.

Note that a signature is required to receive the parcel to all residential addresses and identification must be presented to receive the parcel to ensure the receiver is over the legal age.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn, unused, unopened, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at If it's returned because of a change of mind, you will be liable to pay for the return postage costs. When the item returns back to our store, we will then issue a full refund. If you require us to organize the pickup, we will refund the full amount less the return postage cost.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, or damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
