The Caley is Yalumba’s flagship wine, a Cabernet Sauvignon-Shiraz blend, reflecting the long and unwavering commitment of Australia’s oldest family-owned winemaker to this classic Australian blend. The Caley is named for Fred Caley Smith, grandson of Yalumba founder Samuel Smith.

The Caley combines Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon and old-vine Barossa Shiraz, matured in Yalumba-coopered French oak.

Released five years from vintage, with three years of bottle-age, The Caley is designed to claim, in time, a place alongside the most famous Australian reds. While deceptively attractive in its youth, the wine is built for the long haul, bringing together seamlessly the linear elegance, firm tannins and persistence of Cabernet with the richness and texture of old-vine Shiraz.

Critic tasting note: "The most serene note of menthol hovers above notes pf graphite, plum and berry. There is a perfumed streak of hayflowers and crushed, dried yarrow. The palate then redoubles on that lovely savouriness and adds beautiful white pepper notes to juicy plum and berry compote notes that have a lovely lick of smoky vanilla. Yalumba The Caley Cabernet Shiraz 2013 features intriguing aromas that are fine and complex, such as cool fresh spices and cedar overlaid with a touch of currants. The palate is deep and precise with Coonawarra mint through its soul. Rich textu the fine tannins provide excellent length.

Handling times are 2 business days.

Delivery times are between 5-10 business days depending on your state. Due to the ongoing restrictions being placed in different states, delivery time frames can be affected and your patience in these cases would be appreciated.

Note that a signature is required to receive the parcel to all residential addresses and identification must be presented to receive the parcel to ensure the receiver is over the legal age.

We may not always be able to change delivery details depending on which stage the order processing is up to, but we will do our best to accommodate your request. Once the order has been sent, we will be unable to change anymore.

RETURN POLICY

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn, unused, unopened, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at contact@sessionsarden.com.au. If it's returned because of a change of mind, you will be liable to pay for the return postage costs. When the item returns back to our store, we will then issue a full refund. If you require us to organize the pickup, we will refund the full amount less the return postage cost.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, or damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
